Closing policy
When Fairfax County Public Schools close, the preschool is closed.
If Fairfax County Public Schools have a two-hour delay, we open two hours late. The 2’s meet in their classrooms at 11 AM, and car line begins at 11:15 for the rest of the school. The school day is still three hours long. Lunch Bunch goes until 2:15 PM.
Family Group
The Family Group offers opportunities to volunteer and connect with other families. The Preschool Picnic, Fall Festival, informal family get-togethers, Easter Egg Hunt, impromptu play dates at area playgrounds and Teacher Appreciation Week are all Family Group Activities.
Conscious Discipline workshop for FAmilies
Our school follows Conscious Discipline to teach children to express and manage their emotions, to resolve conflicts and to create a caring community in our classrooms and beyond. Join other families as we work together to guide children’s behavior, help children learn kindness, helpfulness and how to manage feelings and practice resolving conflicts in our homes. Family workshops are offered monthly during the school year.
